Dear Resident, Your local Safer Neighbourhood Team will be at a Bike Marking event with the local councillors at Nelson Community Centre on Saturday 25th April 2026 at 2.30pm to 4.30pm. Please come along to talk to your local Neighbourhood Team and local Councillors and get your bike's marked as well. Here are a few key reasons why it's a smart idea to get your bike marked: Deters thefts - A clearly marked bike is much less attractive to thieves, as it's harder to sell and easier to traceincreases chances of recovery - If your bike is lost or stolen, marking helps Police identify and return it to you.Acts as proof of ownership - marking provides a reliable way to prove the bike is yours if there's even a dispute.Supports Police efforts - Registered marking make it easier for police to track stolen bikes and tackle bike crime.Everyone is welcome and it would be great to see you there. | Bike Marking - Nelson Community Centre with Councillors | | Bike Marking Event with Nelson Cllr's.
